Hi, I’m Chevy

I have been shooting professionally in Halifax (and surrounding area) for three years. From weddings to concerts to acrobatic performances to graduations to birthday parties, I’ve managed to capture some of the most exciting and precious moments for clients from all walks of life. I’ve also built up a collection of more intimate portraits, from confidence-building boudoir shoots to professional-use headshots. The wide variety of events and scenarios covered may appear to be a refusal to niche down, but that is not the case at all.

I specialize in people.

Capturing people in their element, in their happiest moments, and looking their best is my passion. If you have a good angle (and I know you have many) I will find it. I’ve gained a reputation for making subjects feel comfortable and disarmed in front of my lens; I’m light, conversational, casual, and can communicate what the camera needs without being commanding. I know when to crack a joke and when not to. In addition, I’ve often received the coveted photographer’s praise of having made a subject look “more beautiful than they’ve ever looked.” I’m not sure I believe it, but I’ll happily repeat it.
